Courgette & lime
Based on our own Carrot Cake recipe, fresh carrots have been substituted with courgettes to create a moist cake with the added zing of lime zest.
Inspiration for this cake came from a gift of chilli fudge. Traditional chocolate cake has been combined with hot chilli powder and fresh red chilli's, to create a cake with a love or hate appeal. Homemade fudge and chocolate icing have been added to compliment each layer.
Based on the traditional lemon drizzle cake. Home made lemoncurd and been combined together with the tradional cake mix with the addition of complimentary poppy seeds Each cake is hand iced to create the ultimate drizzle topping.
Cappuccino & WalnutBased on the traditional coffee and walnut cake. This cake has been modernised to compliment our new coffee loving culture. Espresso coffee has been combined together with the traditional cake recipe and decorated with a latte cream fill. A dusting of chocolate has been added to create the ultimate coffee experience.
Beetroot & ChocolateNow a popular cake mix, but ProperMaid was one of the first. This was one of our first creations. Cooked beetroot, combined with a rich chocolate mix to create a pleasant light & moist cake with a rich full bodied wine colour. Definitely recommended for one of those moments of pure indulgence.

Chocolate Triple Our most popular chocolate cake to date and has even been presented as a gift to Royalty. It is a three layer cake with our added secret ingredient to create a rich moist sponge. Definitely one of our posher cakes from within our range.
Coconut Bounty Based on a traditional Caribbean sweet bread dish, this recipe has been adapted to create a coconut cake which has been filled and topped with a complimentary rich coconut chocolate icing. A bounty bar in a cake!
MalteserOur "low fat" alternative to our chocolate range. Based on a traditional Genoese sponge; eggs, sugar and horlicks have been whisked together to create a light sponge, which it then topped with a malted flavour icing and decorated with chocolate maltesers. Popular with all ages!
Apple Crumble CakeOur Hot eating cake in our range. Fresh apples have been mixed with a dense deep sponge and topped with a traditional crumble of flour, sugar, butter & pecan nuts. Definitely recommended to be served hot with either custard or cream
New Zealand Moist Carrot CakeBased on a recipe given to me by ex patriot. Fresh grated carrots are combined together with a wholesome base of wholemeal four, eggs, vegetable oil, a combination of sugars and sour cream. This cake is topped and filled with a traditional cream cheese filling and decorated with dried apricots and coconut. Another one of our ProperMaid best sellers.
